History and Location[]

On July 28th, 2023, Universal announced that a third installment in the Vamp scarezone franchise would be coming to Halloween Horror Nights 32. This scarezone would be set in the year 1969 and would be heavily influenced by Woodstock.

Like all of the other scarezones this year, this scarezone would tie-in to the event icon of that year, Dr. Oddfellow. The zone would center around Oddfellow unleashing a horde of vampires on a small town in New York during a music festival in 1969.

The scarezone would be located in the large New York area of the park, which is a recreation of the city of New York.

Due to its high popularity among fans, Vamp '69 was declared Scarezone of the Year for 2023.

Description[]

At a 60s music fest in a small New York town, you’ll jam to popular bands with fellow concert-goers until Dr. Oddfellow unleashes vicious vampires on the audience. They’re out for your blood.

Backstory[]

Read the Halloween Horror Nights Haunted Tales story of this zone here: Vamp 69: Summer of Blood (Story).

The zone took place in the summer of 1969 during “Music Fest”, an annual concert festival set in a small New York town. The festival regularly drew in people from around the country, including an undercover clan of rogue vampires, conspiring to feed when the time was right. Having infiltrated their hive and successfully manipulating the clan’s members, Dr. Oddfellow (disguised as the recently turned performer “Earlow Wolfe”) would prematurely unleash the eager vampires into the festival to gorge themselves and wreak havoc on the small town against the wishes of the hive’s leader, Orlotto. Hiding amongst the patrons during the frenzy, Oddfellow would use his Cane of Souls to absorb the essence of the slain concert goers and fallen vampires alike, increasing his strength. He would later abscond with the body of Orlotto himself after the frenzy subsided (long theorized by some of the hive’s remaining members to have been killed by Oddfellow in the chaos), and absorbed his soul to gain further control over the undead and lengthen his life.
