Universal Monsters: Unmasked (Orlando) was one of ten haunted houses that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights 32. It was located in the Parade Warehouse.
History & Location[]
On July 28th, 2023, Universal announced that Universal Monsters: Unmasked would be featured at Halloween Horror Nights 32 as a haunted house. The house would take place in the city of Paris, and feature four Universal Classic Monsters: The Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Invisible Man, and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.
The house would be located in a building called The Parade Warehouse. The Parade Warehouse was a very large warehouse built to hold the various parade floats used at Universal. After the Superstar Parade was added, Universal had to build a structure to put the excess floats under, as both a haunted house and all of the extra floats from the new parade could not fit in the warehouse. They would also build a Second Parade Warehouse in early 2018.
The codename for this haunted house was BlackBerry.

Trivia[]
- This was the last time B-79 (old parade building) was used for a haunted house.
- A new giant-size version of Mr Hyde, standing at around 7ft, was created especially for the haunted house.
- The moon from the facade of Universal Monsters: Legends Collide from Halloween Horror Nights 31 could be seen above the facade of the Paris City Bridge facade.
- Invisible Man's scene is similar to his scene in the Universal Monsters: Music by Slash haunted house from Halloween Horror Nights 2018 (Hollywood).
- The Invisible Man's laugh and baby carriage woman's screaming were taken from the original 1933 film with Claude Rains.
- In the Opera House, there were several carved off faces of the Phantom's victims, one of which resembles the mask worn by the Phantom in the Andrew Llyod Webber musical.
- A poster in the Invisible Man/Mr. Hyde room made by the design team reads:
“ | It's A French Poster This Makes No Sense At All |
„ |
- The spine ripping effect used for barmaid has been used in the past, and was very problematic to maintain. At the beginning of the event, the spine used on the prop body looked fully intact, but by the end it had degraded to the point where it was just a couple vertebrae held together by an elastic cord.
- The effect also used the same "ripping" sound effect every time it was used.
- This year, the Art and Design team had hidden frogs throughout the houses as an Easter Egg for fans. This house’s frog, originally wearing a miniature version of the Phantom’s mask, could be found at the end in the Catacombs during the triple scare, sitting on one of the ducts before guests exit the house.
- One of the theater static figure victims was a reused Controller victim seen hanging in Seek & Destroy scarezone during Halloween Horror Nights 30.
- The woman trapped in the burning room is Carlotta, the singer that Christine ends up taking over for.
- The balcony victim we see the Phantom actively cutting the face off of is Raoul.
- In the tomb underneath Notre Dame, the two skeletons to the left are Esmerelda and Frollo.
