Universal Monsters: Legends Collide (Orlando) is one of ten haunted houses that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights 31. It was located in the Parade Warehouse.
History and Location[]
On May 17th, 2022, Universal announced that another Universal Monsters house, this time focusing on The Mummy, Dracula, and The Wolfman, would be coming to their Halloween Horror Nights event that year. The house would be a follow up to the previous year's Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives, though it would not be a continuation of that story. Instead, it would focus mainly around those three monsters and their fight to obtain an ancient amulet.
The house would be located in a building called The Parade Warehouse. The Parade Warehouse was a very large warehouse built to hold the various parade floats used at Universal. After the Superstar Parade was added, Universal had to build a structure to put the excess floats under, as both a haunted house and all of the extra floats from the new parade could not fit in the warehouse. They would also build a Second Parade Warehouse in early 2018.
During Spooky Empire 2022, sneak peek images of the house were previewed to fans. The Wolfman is the main character of the house while Dracula is the main antagonist, and The Mummy is seen as a pawn to Dracula.
The haunted house would win gain a lot of popularity with the fans of the event and would go on to win the House of the Year award.
The following year, Universal would hold another Universal Monsters haunted house, this time set in Paris and featuring four monsters: The Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Invisible Man, and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. This house would be titled Universal Monsters: Unmasked.
The codename for the house was Floss because of fur stuck in bones.
Description[]
If you thought one Universal Monster was scary, how about three? Better summon your scream squad, ‘cause you’re about to get caught in the middle of an epic battle between The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy, together for the first time ever. Their mission: To find the amulet that will break their curse. And they’ll destroy anyone who gets in their way.
Dracula, Wolfman, and The Mummy will come together as Universal transports guests to the 19th century with the trio of monsters seeking one thing: The Amulet of Ra. The Wolf Man believes this ancient relic contains the power to finally lift his dreaded curse, while Dracula and The Mummy have nefarious plans to use it to bring humankind to its knees. With the full moon on the rise and a race against time, guests find themselves entangled in a bloodthirsty battle between the terrifying titans – and only one will survive.
Backstory[]
Lawrence Talbot has been searching for years and years to break his curse after killing many of the people he loves. He has traveled all over to find a cure and is at the end of his rope. He was given a letter by a mysterious benefactor who tells him they know a way he could get rid of the curse: they learned of an excavation site that has found the Amulet of Amun-Ra. With the power of the sun, he could potentially control the power of the moon overshadowing it. With that in mind Lawrence ventures on a ship to find the amulet, but once he arrived, he became The Wolfman, and started to wreak havoc.
Meanwhile deep within the pyramid, a high priest summoned Kharis. The Wolfman and The Mummy would fight, and as for the mysterious benefactor, they were revealed to be Dracula himself. Dracula wants the amulet because it will give him the power to walk during the daytime.
Experience[]
Queue and Facade[]
The queue entered from the side of Fievel's Playland, where it would lead to the Curious George area of the Kidzone. The line would then go past a gate into a backstage area, where another long line would take guests on a long walk to the Parade Warehouse.
As guests waited in the queue, they could hear voiceovers of Larry Talbot's diary regarding his voyage to Egypt, as well as voiceovers of Count Dracula. Projections would also play on the side of the Parade Warehouse that went along with the voiceovers. At the end of the queue, guests could see the logo of the house painted on the side of the warehouse. Guests would enter the house through a door underneath the logo.
Guests walked past the interior facade, which was the outside of the temple of Anubis. An excavation site and camp could be seen around the temple. and a projection of Larry Talbot turning into the Wolfman could be seen as the full moon shone above.
Haunted House[]
Guests enter the dig site and would immediately be hit with the smell of dirt and dust. A fully transformed Wolfman would also attack them immediately on the right. They would then encounter an Egyptian Priest resurrecting Kharis in order to kill all those who trespass in the temple. As he performs the ritual, the hieroglyphics behind him glowed a fiery red as the Mummy's hand rises. Guests would also pass by three Anubis Statues, one of which would come to life and attack guests.
Continuing further through the trenches of the dig site, guests would find skeletons embedded in the walls. They would also be attacked by a newly resurrected Mummy from a hole on the left side. Further on they would also be attacked by Queen Nefertiti on the right. Continuing into the temple, guests would see a panel drop in front of them revealing a mummy in the wall with flashing lights. Kharis would attack again on the left, this time wearing the Amulet of Ra on his chest. He would also simultaneously attack an excavator behind him.
Entering the next room of the temple, guests would find a set of stairs leading up with a bloody corpse on them. The Egyptian Priest from earlier can be seen getting mauled and pulled away by an unseen Wolfman. The Mummy also jumps out from behind a white canvas across from them. Further into the room, the Wolfman would lunge at guests from in front of some dead bodies in a long hallway, howling as he did so.
Guests would then come across a giant pair of feet from a statue. Guests would wind their way through a chamber with many corpses in chambers in the walls and would be attacked by both The Mummy and an Anubis Statue. A mutilated corpse could also be seen on the rafters above guests. Another Wolfman would attack guests before entering the next room. Guests would then see Dracula in a corridor up ahead, but he would attack from right next to guests, startling them. Entering another chamber full of corpses and sarcophagi, guests would once again be attacked by the Mummy on the left. Going further in, a corpse on the wall would have lights flash on it as a stinger sound played, and the Mummy would once again attack guests on the right side.
Walking past more Anubis statues, guests would find the corpse of an archaeologist and would eventually come across a room with multiple holes in the wall. Through the walls, a silhouette of a bunch of bats coming together to form Dracula could be seen. As the shadow walks away, Dracula himself pops out from behind the wall giving a good scare. Further on into the room, Dracula would fly towards guests from the front, as The Wolfman and The Mummy simultaneously jump out at guests from both sides, having them surrounded.
Guests would then go through a small corridor as the sound of bats could be heard and puffs of air shot at them. Back outside, guests could see the silhouette of a hooded figure drop down from above. Further into the room, guests would be attacked by Dracula on the right, and The Wolfman on the left. Waking further in, guests could see the Sahara stretching out into the horizon above them. Guests would then walk past a few more statues and artifacts before reaching the finale.
Depending on what night guests went through the house, they would get one of three endings:
- Dracula could be seen in front of guests dead with a stake through his heart. The Mummy then jumped out on the left holding The Wolfman's Head.
- The corpse of the Mummy could be seen in front of guests. Dracula would then jump out on the left holding The Wolfman's head.
- The corpse of the Mummy could be seen in front of guests. The Wolfman would then jump out on the left holding Dracula's head.
Guests would then exit the house.
