Description[]

If you thought one Universal Monster was scary, how about three? Better summon your scream squad, ‘cause you’re about to get caught in the middle of an epic battle between The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy, together for the first time ever. Their mission: To find the amulet that will break their curse. And they’ll destroy anyone who gets in their way.

Experience[]

Facade[]

The facade was a brick shipping company building called "Alucard Trading Co.". Surrounding the building were crates and barrels.

Entering the house, guests found themselves entering into a check-in area where they could hear Renfield's laughter as he called out to Dracula that they've arrived. Renfield appeared in the window laughing and banged on it.

Guests then found themselves walking through a hallway of statues and would come upon a Mummy sarcophagus and opposite of it was Dracula's coffin. Next to this was a glowing chest with a beating heart noise as The Mummy and Dracula attacked guests from both sides.

Guests then continued through as Dracula attacked them again before entering another hall with a large Mummy statue. They would then enter a holding room where many of the goods are taken out of crates, and then onto the storage racks where they come to meet The High Priest of Karnak who came out of a hidden door with his ceremonial dagger which he swings at the guests as they leave the room.

Guests then entered the Paymaster's office, where Larry Talbot was sitting in mid-transformation screaming in agony as the window shined a pale full moon as guests exit out of the room.

Guests then found themselves entering Highgate Cemetery, where they were immediately attacked by a fully transformed The Wolf Man. The blue moon could be seen rising as they entered a crypt where a projection of bats flying around that form into the shape of Dracula could be seen. Guests would be misdirected and attacked by Dracula on their side.

As guests turned a corner, they would find themselves among Egyptian architecture with hieroglyphics and UV light. Guests began to hear the chanting of Anubis as they continued down a secret passageway, which led them on their way to the museum. The Mummy came in with an attack as they traveled down.

Guests were then plunged through total darkness, walking through what feels like cobwebs before continuing through. They could hear sounds of flies and the growling of the Wolf Man as he stalked them. As they exit through, they were immediately attacked by him.

Guests then entered the museum and into the curator's office, where the curator himself could be seen dead as Renfield's laughter is heard. He then popped through the door following thunder and lightning as Dracula appeared through the windows. Outside Dracula's blood moon can be seen. He opened the windows and crawls onto the desk, with Renfield on the opposite side of him, as The Brides of Dracula come rushing at the guests.

Guests now entered the first display room of the museum where The High Priest of Karnak stood over a flame brazer while holding the Mummy's heart and chanting an incantation, trying to bring many of the mummies to life and trying to restore the old kingdom. Many of the mummies around guests began to move and their eyes begin to glow as guests exit of the room.

Guest entered the next room where The High Priest of Karnak could be seen dying with the fading amulet in his hand. Guests were hit by Dracula and The Mummy from both sides and a huge graphic stretch panel where The Wolf Man jumped out at guests.

As they exited the maze, guests would then hear the chanting of Anubis's name as the lights slowly went out one by one. Guests were attacked by a stilt-walking Anubis racing at them out of the darkness with the amulet in hand.

Quotes[]

  • "The curse, the curse, the curse, Cursed to walk only in shadows, cursed to be a eternal slave, cursed by the cycles of the moon. If I told you the truth, you'd think me mad but sometimes the true is what drives men mad, my truth, my curse began the night I was bitten by a werewolf and became a werewolf myself, whenever the moon was full, I've seen that moon lie and fall on every continent traveling the world, searching for a cure that can finally end my suffering but finding only death. Amun-Rha, the God of Gods, it was in his temple in Egypt that I found the answer, a cursed bloodline that stretched back from the sands of time to Anubis, the God of Death and the head of a wolf but the body of a man. - Lawrence Talbot
  • "Now, here in London where the treasures plundered from the ancient world have been assembled, I will find the answer, I will find the Amulet of Amun-Rha before the next full moon rises, I will put an end to this curse. - Lawrence Talbot
  • "Death, there are far worse things awaiting man than death." - Dracula
  • Death, eternal punishment, Kharis will rise to destroy those who desecrate the tomb of Amun-Rha." - Kharis The Mummy
  • "Listen to them, Children of the night" - Dracula
  • "Children of the night, they howl for Kharis to awake during this cycle of the full moon, Kharis will rise again to destroy the unbelievers, the Amulet of Rha keeps his heart beating, the Amulet of Rha gives him power." - The High Priest of Karnak
  • "Power over the sun to be free from the shadows and finally walk in the light of day, the power to be truly immortal. - Dracula
  • "Power over the moon, power to finally break the curse!" Lawrence Talbot
  • "Master... we're here." - Renfield
  • "The curse..." - The High Priest of Karnak
  • "Kharis, Kharis, Kharis"

Trivia[]

  • They started coming up with this concept as they were finishing Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives last year [1].
  • Orlando's version of this house was conceived to be Mummy vs Wolfman while Hollywood's was Dracula vs Mummy. The Creative Teams collaborated together and each house across both coasts is a different part to the story. This is part 2 of the story [2].
  • A way they connected the story of the house to Egypt is based on a discovery in recent years where Egyptologists learned that Anubis, the Jackal headed figure, was improperly translated. He isn't actually a dog headed deity but actually a wolf-headed deity, the concept was shared with Orlando but with different interpretations of the story. [3].
  • The working title for this house was "Immortal Curses".[4].
  • This house was inspired by The Wolfman (1941), Dracula (1931), The Mummy (1932), the Mummy Sequels from the 1940s, and historical research from 19th Century London. [5].
  • The key art was done by Crash McCreary who did Dracula and Wolfman and Lucas Culshaw who illustrated the Mummy. [6].
  • According to Murdy, he recorded voiceovers not only for Renfield but also Dracula, Larry Talbot, and the High Priest of Karnak in the house. [7].
  • The house was built behind Mummy ride based on the 1999 film, which Murdy was responsible for building [8].
  • Slash returned to do the music for this house. This is the 5th house he has done music for in Hollywood[9].
  • This house like, Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives, has an original story [10].
  • This house takes place during the late Victorian era[11].
  • Each monster is represented by a different moon in the house[12].
  • The inspiration for the Amulet of Amun Ru was Amun Ra and how Mummies were buried with Amulets. The Amulet of Ra has LED tech that will have Mummy's heart pulsing [13].
  • The facade was inspired by the Limehouse District of the Thames with it being the Shipping Capital of the World at the time [14].
  • The facade reuses windows from the facade of Freddy vs. Jason.
  • The Alucard Trading Co. facade is a reference to the Universal Monster film, Son of Dracula. He was played by Lon Chaney Junior, who was also known for playing another Universal Classic Monster, The Wolfman [15].
  • According to Murdy, the Alucard Trading Company Warehouse is supposed to be a reference to the Dracula (1931) film and the scene where Renfield and Dracula travel to London [16].
  • The crates in front of the facade have the Symbol of Amun-Ra on them foreshadowing The Mummy's involvement in the house[17].
  • The only thing that they wanted to do on the facade but couldn't was Dracula's Ship. It was due to it being too big to fit and not enough back maintenance access to the Mummy Ride[18].
  • The facade also had an animatronic seagull on it [19].
  • The first scene with all of the Dead Warehouse Workers is inspired by the scene in Dracula (1931) where everyone is killed in the Vesta [20].
  • All of the historical maps featured in the beginning of the house were all of the time period of London and the Lime House District. [21].
  • In the Warehouse Holding Room, there are various Egyptian Statues from the various Mummy sequels [22].
  • In the Warehouse Holding Room there is a glowing chest with a heartbeat sound which is the Mummy's Heart beating in the case. This was inspired by the briefcase from Pulp Fiction [23].
  • In the Storage Racks, there is the High Priest of Karnack which is inspired by the Mummy sequels of the 1940s [24].
  • Charles Dicksons Office in London inspired the Look of the Paymaster Scene. [25].
  • Transformation Wolfman returned for this House. A Effect that was used in Universal Monsters: Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man.
  • The graveyard is inspired by the Mummy sequels of the 1940s [26].
  • Highgate Cemetery is in this house. This was a location first used in Universal Monsters: Music by Slash[27].
  • One of the crypts in the cemetery has the name, Browning, which is a reference to Tod Browning who directed Dracula (1931)[28].
  • In the Graveyard Bats there is a Effect inside of Bats flying inside of Crypt as a Video Effect when Dracula hits his trigger. They form together for him to then pop out. [29].
  • The Egyptian Symbols in the Graveyard all are referring to Anubis. [30].
  • In the Curator's Office, there are various posters for the Egyptian Exhibit they're planning for the London Museum. There is an Easter Egg to Slash with S. Hudson on them[31].
  • The Horde Cart Effect returned for this House for the Brides of Dracula. A Effect first used in The Walking Dead: No Safe Haven
  • The final scenes with the High Priest trying to bring all of the Mummies to life has a effect with Kharis's Heart that has LED Lights to take a audio signal to beat [32].
  • Recent research has discovered that Anubis had a Wolf Head. The ending has a new monster being the Anubis Werewolf inspired by that. He is brought back by the Amulet [33].
  • Select clips from Dracula (1931), The Mummy (1932) and The Wolfman (1941) were used in the queue video for the house.
