Toxic City was one of the six scarezones that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights 13. It was located in Marvel Super Hero Island.
History and Location[]
Due to Marvel getting angry with Universal for "killing of" all of their superheroes, Universal was not allowed to use the Marvel theme as a scarezone again.
So for Halloween Horror Nights 13, Universal decided to create a scarezone based in a city that had toxic waste lining the streets.
The scarezone would use the foam effect that the Treaks and Foons scarezone used the previous year, and would be the last scarezone to use this. It would be called Toxic City and would be located in Marvel Super Hero Island.
Marvel Super Hero Island is an area of Islands of Adventure in between The Port of Entry and Toon Lagoon. The area features many statues of Marvel Superheroes as well as building related to the cities of the Marvel Universe. Due to the linear nature of Islands of Adventure, guests were expected to go to this scarezone right after entering the event through the Port of Evil scarezone.
Description[]
You've broken quarantine and entered a city plunged into a bio-hazard nightmare. Toxic waste spews everywhere, as the streets are filled with packs of mutated, melting monsters.
You were supposed to keep out. Now, you've just entered a city under a toxic invasion. The sludge spews from all corners, and the deformed, mutated inhabitants of this city aren't as friendly as they used to be. Can you escape this biohazard nightmare, or will the Toxic Avengers get to you first?
Story[]
As part of the Director’s film, this was an area of toxic waste, indirectly (and unofficially) caused by Norman Osborn’s company.
Experience[]
This scarezone had foam colored green all over the streets. On one of the streets was a huge radioactive tanker that spilled out liquids. All over the streets were various mutants that had melted faces and green goo on them. Some mutants had chainsaws. Other scareactors in this zone had gas masks. Also strewn about the streets were various barrels with toxic waste inside of them.
