The People Under the Stairs was one of the houses that took place at Halloween Horror Nights II and Halloween Horror Nights III. It was located in Soundstage 23 and had a prequel in 2006 called The People Under the Stairs: Under Construction. The house was based on the movie The People Under the Stairs directed by Wes Craven.

- This house was the first haunted house based off of a movie and the first house located in Soundstage 23.
- The house in 1993 was the debut appearance of the Roach Man.
- One of the rooms in this house featured Daddy (One of the villains from the movie) taking meat from a corpse and throwing it. Sometimes blood would splatter everywhere and get on peoples clothes. The blood was red and sticky and would stain peoples clothes.
