History and Location[edit | edit source]
The Boneyard was an area of Universal Studios Orlando that held many props from various Universal films. It was eventually closed and replaced by the Universal Music Plaza. Back in 1994, Universal built a temporary structure around this area to hold a haunted house. In 2000, Universal decided to place a scarezone in this area to lead guests into the two Soundstage 22 haunted houses that were featured that year. The scarezone would feature a photo-op with Jack the Clown, as well as many different monsters.
Experience[edit | edit source]
The facade had a cut-out of Jack the Clown holding a real net, which guests could take photos by. Jack himself would appear near this area for a photo-op. The scarezone had many obstacles guests had to walk through with many scareactors hiding behind them, including a group of chainsaw-wielding maniacs wearing KISS makeup.
