The Firefly Family

The Firefly Family are a group of characters from Rob Zombie’s Firefly Trilogy who appeared in several Halloween Horror Nights events.

Backstory

Texas-based individuals with a long history of blood and violence that rivals both the Sawyer and Hewitt families. one person involved with them even hosts a museum on it and their house is filled to the brim with a variety of corpses. Every Halloween night, they held a special ceremony to honor a famous urban legend, sending poor victims down to the depths and into his lair. They brought their macabre lifestyles to Universal during the years of 2010 and 2011 and, in Orlando, 2019.

• Captain Spaulding (the father of Baby, he lives away from them though and doesn’t really participate in the killings)

• Earl Firefly (after an incident which resulted in Tiny’s deformations, he was kicked out of the house and mostly reports to Dr. Satan)
• The Ghouls (they lurk in the catacombs near the lair)

Trivia

• They are based on the original Sawyer family from a certain 1973 film. Spaulding is literally a gas station owner (and the sequel reveals he is a patriarch), Baby is based on the Hitchhiker, Otis is based on the sequel’s Chop Top and even is acted by him, etc.
• Baby might have appeared in the very original house in 2000, as one account spefiviced that Dr Satan was not present for in that house… yet left no mention that the aforemtioned Baby weren’t.
