Over the past few years Universal has made scarezones which are themed areas of the park where many scareactors roamed. The first scarezone was in 1994 and was called Horrorwood. These scarezones were usually located on the streets or alley's of the park. In 2004 they used areas in between both parks to use as scarezones because of how both parks were being used to hold the event that year. In 2007 they started using park-wide scarezones which is one scarezone that is located around the whole park. In 2008 they used the Front Lot of the park for a scarezone.
