Scarecrow: Cursed Soil was one of the five scarezones featured during Halloween Horror Nights 31. It was located in Central Park and would be set in an abandoned cornfield outside a barn.

History and Location[]

On August 16th, 2022, Universal announced that a scarezone that ties into the popular Scarecrow: The Reaping haunted house from Halloween Horror Nights 27 would be coming to their Halloween Horror Nights event that year. This scarezone would take place in the fields located outside the farmhouse from the original house. The evil scarecrows aspect of this zone tied into the event's overall theme that year: Traditional Halloween.

The scarezone would be located in an area called Central Park, a small, wooded area connecting World Expo to Hollywood. There are two paths, one going along the Universal Lagoon and the other going through the trees. The scarezone would be located in the second of these two paths.

Description[]

At an abandoned farm, scarecrows have risen from the crust of the earth to hunt you and seek revenge. They'll harvest your screams.

At an abandoned farm, scarecrow sentinels have risen from the crust of the earth to hunt souls and seek revenge. They’ll harvest the screams of those who dare enter this dilapidated barn.

Story[]

Guests would venture through the fields outside of the Nebraskan farmhouse from the original house as scarecrows attacked from all sides. Guests would venture into the barn (built in the middle of the scarezone) which would feature different, more hideous creatures.
