The Pumpkin Lord Image from Universal Orlando Resort
The Pumpkin Lord is a character that took part in Halloween Horror Nights 30. He was featured in his own haunted house titled The Wicked Growth: Realm of the Pumpkin.
The character also appeared on the 2020 "Soul Gripping Horror" comic book T-Shirt, alongside characters like Bone and Blood from Halloween Horror Nights 27, Sam Meetz from Halloween Horror Nights: Ripped from the Silver Screen, the Vampire Ice Cream Man from the Halloween Horror Nights 26 scarezone Vamp '55, and a currently unknown special guest character.
He would reappear the following year for Halloween Horror Nights 31, being featured in his own scarezone: Horrors of Halloween. The zone tied into many of the zones that year, and also featured many of the Pumpkin Lord's minions doing his biding.
Backstory[]
The Pumpkin Lord grows Halloween. Each year, he grows bigger and bigger, harvesting and gathering all the things that make Halloween what it is. He does this with the help of his minions of Witches, Goblins and otherworldly creatures that go bump in the night.
Grown from a twisted heap of malignant vines and pumpkin, The Pumpkin Lord got his power by tricking and enticing people to celebrate Halloween. He draws life from those practicing the traditions of the season, getting slowly stronger and more imposing until he has guests in his grasp. To accomplish this, he employs minions like Gramalkin the Summoner, who help harvest all that makes Halloween what it is. Fans really gravitated toward The Pumpkin Lord during Halloween Horror Nights 30, often joining Gramalkin in her attempts to conjure and revere the tendrilled being.
