Experience[]

Queue and Facade[]

The queue takes the guests through the back, entering from the left of the Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem ride and to Soundstage 23. Upon entering the indoor queue, the guests come to the gates of the Cemetery of the Lost and ahead, guests can see the graves of the past victims of the monsters.

Haunted House[]

Upon entering the gates, guests are greeted by Muerte, who tells the guests of the horrors that transpired and the victims of years past. Upon turning to the right, guests see a painting of the Tlahuelpuchi. Turning left at the painting, guests come to a bedroom where sounds of screams and babies crying are heard as guests enter her world.

Upon entering the room, guests see a baby cradle with the sheets drained with blood as the Tlahuelpuchi jumps from the right behind the drawers holding a baby and hissing at the guests. As they continue, it becomes apparent that the entire house is infested by the creature. Upon exiting the bedroom, the Tlahuelpuchi jumps from a door to the left and later a door to the right. A Victim jumps from the right, asking guests to flee and save themselves. Another Victim jumps from the left, as the Tlahuelpuchi jumps from the right at him. As they near the exit, the Tlahuelpuchi scares them for the final time by popping out from the left in front of a desk. Muerte appears from the left in the Foyer, where he explains to the guests that they are about to enter the lair of El Silbón as his portrait hangs across from him.

Upon exiting, guests come up to El Silbón's sack, where he jumps from the right before guests enter. Upon entering, the sack appears to have now taken the form of a butchery, with human carcasses lying down on tables or hanging up. El Silbón jumps from the left in at a hallway, before guests can hear the screams coming from the door in front as a victim bangs on the door pleading to be set free. Taking a left, the sack appears to transform from a human butchery to a slaughterhouse as pig squeals now fill the room. Guests turn right to enter the sack's slaughter house, where El Silbón jumps from the right in a platform above, holding a human spine. They turn right to exit the sack and come across to the Cemetery's grounds where a Victim pops from the left pleading for guests not to go inside as a picture of La Lechuza sits in front. After she pleads, the painting fades to reveal La Lechuza standing behind it, ushering guests to the left into her domain.

Turning to the left, guests come across many human limbs as a Victim jumps from the left, screaming in agony. Continuing down and making a right, La Lechuza jumps from the right and later from the left as the guests descend further more into her world. Making another right, guests come into La Lechuza’s Lair, where she is shown in her full size. She is seen eating the limbs of her victims as she screams in triumph. Upon coming around her, the view of the Cemetery's gates comes into view as guests walk to it. However, a Victim jumps from the left, covered in scratches and screaming in agony.

Upon passing the gates and returning to the Cemetery, guests turn right and then left to avoid the claws of La Lechuza as her roar is heard. Coming to the right, guests are met with La Lechuza in front, who hisses and attempts to bite the guests. Guests then make a turn left before coming face to face with the head of El Silbon, who has grown in size and laughs at the guests. Making a final left turn, guests return to the entrance of the Cemetery as Muerte stands on a grave labeled "Tu", telling the guests that the grave is for them. Walking straight to exit the Cemetery, guests are met for a final time with one of the previous monstruos before exiting the house.

Trivia[]

  • This version has many differences from the original Hollywood house. Some of which are:
    • The placement of the Monstruos differs between the events. In Hollywood, Tlahuelpuchi is the first monster, followed by La Lechuza and ending with El Silbon. In this house, Tlahuelpuchi is the last monster, with La Lechuza being the first and El Silbon being the second.
    • The level of detail in the sets also differ. Hollywood's original house puts more emphasis on the monstruos, with many sets being impacted by the legends. In this version, the sets impact the characters, with more emphasis on the sets to convey the stories of the people who had transgressed against these creatures as well as the creatures themselves.
    • The Muerte figure at the end shows a minor change. In Hollywood, Muerte at the end was a scareactor. In this house, he is a static figure.
  • The announcement of this house marks the first time in Halloween Horror Nights history that a house from another event exists while a sequel to the original house also exists, with this house operating alongside Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America over in Hollywood.
    • Additionally, this also marks the first time Orlando and Hollywood both used houses based on each other's past houses, with Orlando getting Monstruos and Hollywood getting Dead Exposure: Death Valley.
  • In La Lechuza's scene, there is a veil on the bed immediately upon entering her scene. This is a reference to Urban Legends: La Llorona.
  • When El Silbon pops out, if guests listen closely, they can hear him say his iconic "Un hueso... Dos huesos... Tres huesos" throughout the house. This is meant to give the idea that the guests will not survive the house.
  • All the portaits and the giant figure of Tlahuelpuchi are all taken from Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America (Hollywood).
