Mary Shaw
Mary Shaw was a character of the movie Dead Silence. She then appeared in a house at Halloween Horror Nights: Carnival of Carnage, as a promotion for the movie that came out weeks before the event.
Mary was an elderly ventriloquist who lived in the town of Raven's Fair. She had no children, only one hundred dolls and puppets, her favorite of which was Billy. During one performance with Billy, she was heckled by a boy named Michael Ashen who claimed he could see her lips move. Although Mary managed to win back the crowd, she grew to hate the boy for heckling her. One night, Michael disappeared and the town immediately pointed their fingers to one person: Mary. Despite the fact that there was no evidence she kidnapped Michael, a mob of vigilantes broke into her boat house and cut out her tongue, making her bleed to death. Unbeknownst to everyone however, Mary did indeed kill the boy and had his body turned into a puppet.
In her will, she stipulated that her body was to be embalmed and modified to operate like one of her puppets. She was also to have all one hundred of her dolls buried alongside her grave in separate graves of their own, complete with their own miniature headstones.
But that's not the end of the story. Ever since that night, horrific deaths occurred all across Raven's Fair. Men, women and children would be found dead without their tongues, their faces frozen in horror and their bodies posed for a twisted mockery of family photos. The people of Raven's Fair realized Mary put a curse on the town. Anyone who screams in Mary's presence would have their tongues ripped out, her act of revenge against the people who killed her and she would not stop until she killed every last member of the families of the vigilantes.
The locals made up an eerie rhyme about her, "Beware the stare of Mary Shaw. She had no children, only dolls. And if you see her, do not scream. Or she'll rip your tongue out at the seam."

- In 2012 it was revealed that Mary Shaw was a part of The Kerezan Legion, most likely due to her being undead.
