Luchadores Monstruosos was one of the scarezones that was featured during Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood (2024). It was located on French Street.

History & Location[]

On July 28th, 2024 John Murdy announced Luchadores Monstruosos at Midsummer Scream 2024. The scarezone were monstrous luchadores some loosely based on the Universal Classic Monsters and other monsters.

Description[]

¡Ojo! You’re about to get caught in the middle of a Lucha Libre horror film. Two luchadores are going to the mat against a horde of masked monsters.

Trivia[]

  • This scarezone was pitched to John Murdy and Chris Williams by their does the designs and park decor for all of the scarezones for the event and they thought it was a good idea to do after denying his past ideas for scarezones.
  • The inspiration for the scarezone Mexican Horror Cinema of the 60s & 70s.
  • Murdy and co. worked with their DEI team to source all the costumes for the scareactors from Latin America from the very people who make Luchadore masks and wrestling attires keeping the authenticity of the costumes.
  • The letters that was used to spell the Sideshow Slaughterhouse logo in the zone back in Halloween Horror Nights 2023 (Hollywood) were used to spell the name of the zone.
  • The Abominable Snowman static figure is repurposed in this zone in a wrestling ring with a monster and Goblin and donning a a luchadore mask.
