Synopsis[]

A group of teenagers are in deep trouble, as they have been chosen against their will to be part of Jack the Clown's Carnival of Carnage. Ringmaster Jack and his assistants Chance, Tiny and Dr. Pinetti showcase their finest and bloodiest acts for all the carnival's patrons to see. Such acts included "The Rack" which split a security guard in half, "The Self Portrait" in which a teenager had his heart eviscerated, "The Lumber Jack" by shoving a live victim in a wood chipper, and "The Aztec Spikes of Death" where a victim would be impaled by large spikes inside a cage while being burned alive. By the time the show was over, everyone knew JACK.

Trivia[]

  • This show marked the very first appearance of Chance, who would make various returns to future Halloween Horror Nights events due to her increasing popularity.
  • The show was written by creative director at the time J Michael Roddy.
  • Dr. Pinetti was portrayed by Orlando based magician, Drew Thomas, who also contributed to all of the illusions throughout the show.
  • Some props from years past were used, such as The Iron Maiden (2001/2002), the Infestation chair (2003) and the Skull used at the La Bamba fountain (2001).
  • At the start, a VERY brief segment from the full version of House of 1000 Corpses song played before the security guard and woman came in, specifically the “No, no!” part.
  • Throughout the show, there are certain lines and quotes that are references to other movies. For instance, the security guard quotes "It is Halloween, after all, everyone's entitled to one good scare" from John Carpenter's Halloween. Another example is when Jack calls the security guard's radio, asking the police to "send more security", a reference to Return of the Living Dead.
  • "The Self Portrait" act contained some references from Disney.
    • Jack refers to finding Zac's "Laughing Place", referring to the song "Everybody's Got A Laughing Place" from Disney's 9th film, Song of the South, from 1946, and later in the Splash Mountain attraction in 1989.
    • The song "Whistle While You Work" from Disney's first animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from 1937 plays during this segment, specifically the merry-go-round arrangement from the park's carousel attraction.
  • During "The Village Idiot" act, Jack exclaims the victim doesn't have a future, referencing his quote from the TV commercial of that year.
