Horrorwood was the only scarezone that was featured during Halloween Horror Nights IV. It was located in Hollywood.
History and Location[]
In 1994 Universal decided to have its first official scarezone. It was located in Hollywood, an area of the park to the right of the park entrance. The area was a recreation of Hollywood. The scarezone featured three groups, The Chainsaw Drill Team, The Lizzie Borden Band and Axe Corps, and The Monks in the Hood. The scarezone was unlike anything else Universal did in the past, as there were props themed to the scarezone lining the streets of Hollywood.
Horrorwood would return the following year with Horrorwood Blvd.

This centralized scarezone featured the Chainsaw Drill Team, the Lizzie Borden Band and Axe Corps, and many others.
Dare to enter the gates of darkness and journey down to Horrorwood Boulevard. Come face to face with hundreds of our most wanted "scareactors"! Witness talented entertainers from beyond the grave including The Chainsaw Drill Team, The Lizzie Borden Band and Axe Corps and Monks in the Hood.

The scarezone featured three groups, The Chainsaw Drill Team, The Lizzie Borden Band and Axe Corps, and The Monks in the Hood. Along with these groups, there were also a variety of scareactors littered throughout the streets. According to this, the scarezone featured red and green lights that would flicker and turn off, the sounds of crunching bones, screams, and evil laughter coming from dark doorways and walls, howling sounds, a "sinister soundtrack" that would alternate from very loud to very quiet, and body parts hanging from the trees. There were also people trapped in cages and dancers hanging in trees.
