Hide & Shrieeek! was one of the six scarezones that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights 13. It was located in Toon Lagoon.
History and Location
Due to the popularity of camouflage scares used in the previous years, Universal decided to build a scarezone dedicated to the concept for Halloween Horror Nights 13. The scarezone would be located in Toon Lagoon and would be called Hide & Shrieeek!
Toon Lagoon is an area of Islands of Adventure located between Marvel Super Hero Island and Jurassic Park. Toon Lagoon featured an homage to many comic book characters, including Popeye and Dudley Do-Right. Due to the linear nature of Islands of Adventure, this was planned to be the third scarezone guests would walk into.
Description
It's a cartoon world gone mad! The ink itself seems to come to life as buildings, objects and creatures all blend together into bizarre shapes and patterns that tear into your sanity.
"The fog rises and the bubbles fall as you try to make your way through this island of illusion. You are blinded by the sudden flashes of the strobe lights, and all you can see above you is a nauseating wave of water. Watch your every move ... the Ink Blots are in the shadows ... waiting for you."
Experience
Strewn all about the streets were black and white structures with scareactors dressed in similar black and white outfits blending into them. When the moment was right, they would jump out and scare guests.
