Halloween Horror Nights was the 31st Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios Florida.

Information Timeline[]

  • March 24th, 2022: Universal revealed dates of the event and single ticket prices alongside Unmasking the Horror Tour and RIP Tour tickets. Preview merchandise and the event logo were also released.
  • May 17th, 2022: Express Passes are released. The first haunted house, Universal Monsters: Legends Collide is announced. Preview merch was also released for the announcement.
  • June 8th, 2022: Halloween is announced as the second haunted house. Preview merch was also released for the announcement.
  • June 23rd: 2022: The Horrors of Blumhouse, featuring Freaky and The Black Phone is announced to be the 3rd haunted house. Preview merch was also released for the announcement.
  • July 26th: 2022: Multi-night tickets and the return of Scareactor Dining Experience. The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare is announced to be the 4th haunted house.
  • August 2nd, 2022: Universal released some general purpose merchandise including merchandise with little fan favorite character Li'l Boo, Universal Classic Monsters and Studio Screamers Set 2.
  • August 4th, 2022: Universal releases the merchandise on the Shop Universal Website. Universal also announced Universal Monsters: Gallery of Legends as this year's theme photo gallery experience at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
  • August 16th, 2022: Universal announces the six remaining original haunted houses, the five scarezones, and the two shows that will be featured at the event.
  • August 25, 2022: Universal announces that all event nights will run till 2 AM.
  • September 1st, 2022: Universal announces a deal with Hot Topic to release exclusive Halloween Horror Nights design outfits and shirts.
  • September 27th, 2022: Universal announced that Halloween Horror Nights would be canceled on September 28th & 29th due to Hurricane Ian. They would plan on reopening the event on September 30th if conditions permitted.
  • October 3rd, 2022: Universal announced two event dates, Tuesday, October 11th and Monday, October 24th, to make up for the cancellations of September 28th and 29th the previous month due to the hurricane.

Haunted Houses[]

  • Universal Monsters: Legends Collide (Parade Warehouse): If you thought one Universal Monster was scary, how about three? Better summon your scream squad, ‘cause you’re about to get caught in the middle of an epic battle between The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy, together for the first time ever. Their mission: To find the amulet that will break their curse. And they’ll destroy anyone who gets in their way.
  • Halloween (Soundstage 23): Gather your friends and visit Haddonfield, Illinois, where Michael Myers is about to don his mask and embark on his first brutal spree. Silent. Merciless. Relentless. He’s the embodiment of pure evil. You don’t want to go alone as you go back to where it all began. This year, step into the original 1978 horror classic, Halloween.
  • The Horrors of Blumhouse (Fast & Furious Location): Step inside a new double-feature of Blumhouse horror. Your scream squad will find yourselves trapped between a frantic teen and the ruthless serial killer she’s swapped bodies with in Freaky. Then, you’ll try to make a desperate escape from the dark basement of The Grabber before you become his latest victim in the terrifying The Black Phone.
  • The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare (Second Parade Warehouse): Prepare to enter the macabre mind of The Weeknd in this haunted house as he stalks your squad through the surreal nightmare of his After Hours music. A slasher carving a smile at an otherworldly rave. Bandaged maniacs performing extreme plastic surgery. A grotesque mannequin masquerade. His nightmare is now yours.
  • Spirits of the Coven (Soundstage 22): A coven of beautiful flapper witches will lure you into their 1920s speakeasy, reveal their haggish true form and turn your scream squad into a witch’s brew. They’ll be cackling; you’ll be screaming.
  • Bugs: Eaten Alive (Sprung Tent 2): While touring a 1950s home of the future, you’ll be surrounded by the slime of bugs everywhere as hordes of many-legged terrors descend upon you and your scream squad. You’ll be dropping like flies.
  • Fiesta de Chupacabras (Soundstage 24): Visit a Latin American village where the legend of the creature Chupacabras is celebrated with a colorful fiesta. And the streets are lined with the crimson blood of tourists like you and your amigos.
  • Hellblock Horror (Soundstage 23): Enter a prison whose savage inmates are monstrous creatures. If they break free from their cells, it’s a death sentence for everyone.
  • Dead Man's Pier: Winter's Wake (Soundstage 24): In a New England fishing village, undead fishermen emerge from the waves to seek their revenge. You and your scream squad may have escaped their hooks in the scare zone. Now they’ll reel you in and drag you under.
  • Descendants of Destruction (Sprung Tent 1): Careful not to leave any of your scream squad behind as you descend the subway tunnels of a deserted New York. Lurking in the dark are hungry mutants looking to feast on the last remnants of humanity.

  • Horrors of Halloween (Plaza of the Stars): The Pumpkin Lord, the spirit of Halloween, has taken over this year’s event, summoning hordes of fiendish creatures. Terror has taken root.
  • Sweet Revenge (New York): The sweets from Major Sweets' candy company have turned children into crazed killers. This Halloween's all trick, no treat and total mayhem.
  • Conjure the Dark (San Francisco): On the first All Hallow's Eve, an evil sorceress called forth monstrosities from dark dimensions. Now your blood will fuel them.
  • Scarecrow: Cursed Soil (Central Park): At an abandoned farm, scarecrows have risen from the crust of the earth to hunt you and seek revenge. They'll harvest your screams.
  • Graveyard: Deadly Unrest (Hollywood): On All Hallow's Eve, a dark storm descends upon a cemetery and awakens long-dead spirits. No one living can escape them.
