Halloween Horror Nights 28 was the 28th annual Halloween event at the Universal Orlando Resort and it occurred between September 14th and November 3rd 2018.

Information Timeline[]

March 29th, 2018: Official event dates announced. Hotel and ticket packages go on sale. Flex tickets go on sale.^[1]

April 3rd: Stranger Things is announced as the first IP and the first haunted house.^[2]

April 26th: Dead Exposure: Patient Zero is announced as the first original haunted house for the event.^[3]

May 16th: Trick 'r Treat is announced as the 3rd haunted house of the event.^[4]

June 7th: The 1980's theme revealed. Regular tickets and frequent fear passes go on sale. The three original scarezones (The Harvest, Vamp '85: New Year's Eve and Twisted Tradition) were announced.^[5]

June 21st: Slaughter Sinema announced as the 4th house overall, and the second original house.^[6]

June 28th: The final two scarezones (Revenge of Chucky and Killer Klowns From Outer Space) are revealed.
July 25th: The 5th house and the 3rd original house is revealed as Carnival Graveyard: Rust in Pieces.^[7]
August 8th: The 6th house and the 4th original house is announced as Seeds of Extinction.
August 9th: The 7th house and the 3rd IP house is revealed as Poltergeist.
August 14th: The 8th house and the 4th IP is revealed as Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, which is also shared with Hollywood^[8]
August 20th: The 9th house is revealed to be The Horrors of Blumhouse, featuring Happy Death Day and The First Purge.
August 21st: The 10th and final house is revealed to be Scary Tales: Deadly Ever After. It was also revealed that 2 more nights will be added, 9/16/18 and 9/26/18. The map and rides were also revealed.

Trick 'r Treat (Parade Warehouse): Trick 'r Treat—this terrifying maze is breaking all the rules of our Halloween tradition.

Dead Exposure: Patient Zero (Sprung Tent 1): Fear will infect you, plunging you into darkness against a plague of swarming, fast-moving zombies.

Slaughter Sinema (Sprung Tent 2): It’s showtime at the local drive-in, where you don’t just catch a movie; the movie catches you. When the credits roll, heads roll.
Carnival Graveyard: Rust in Pieces (Soundstage 24): The caramel-coated carnivals of yesteryear have died, but something sinister has festered, waiting to torment those who trespass upon their salvage yard.
Seeds of Extinction (Second Parade Warehouse): Humanity is extinct, wiped out by a cataclysmic meteor. In its wake something monstrous has taken root.
Poltergeist (Soundstage 25): Restless spirits have overrun the infamous house atop a cemetery and will lure you into a place between life and death. Don't get lost in the light.
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (Shrek Theater): Evil has returned in an all-new house. This masked maniac is unstoppable, and there's nowhere to hide.
The Horrors of Blumhouse (MIB Tent): The haunted minds behind Happy Death Day and The First Purge have spawned another horror house. Will you live to see tomorrow?
Scary Tales: Deadly Ever After (Soundstage 24): The Wicked Witch of the West has cursed the land of the fairies, twisting beloved stories beyond recognition. There are no fairytale endings here.

Vamp '85: New Year's Eve (New York): As the ball drops in New York City, this New Year’s bash is about to bite. Literally.
Twisted Tradition (Central Park): An ancient evil has been reawakened and transformed Halloween into an abomination.
Revenge of Chucky (Hollywood): Chucky, the world’s deadliest doll, has brought a toy fair to gruesome life on the streets of Hollywood, twisting childhood toys into nightmares. You’ll be dying to play.
Killer Klowns From Outer Space (South Street): An interstellar circus tent has landed on the streets of Universal Studios Florida™. At this circus of fear, the joke's always on you.
