Halloween Horror Nights 2018 was the 13th consecutive Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios Hollywood, and the 19th Hollywood event overall.
Information Timeline[]
- April 3rd 2018: Stranger Things announced as the first haunted maze, and the first shared Intellectual Property (With Halloween Horror Nights Orlando and Halloween Horror Nights Singapore). [1]. Was inside of Soundstage 29.[2]
- April 16th: The first scarezone, Holidayz in Hell announced to be in the Metro Sets.[3]
- May 16th: Trick 'r Treat is announced as the second maze shared with Universal Orlando. Was located inside of the Mummy Queue.[4]
- July 12th: The First Purge is announced as the third haunted maze at the event and the first Hollywood exclusive maze. Was located inside the Metro Sets.[5]
- August 7th: The full website goes online, with all ticket options available for all nights[6]. All other Hollywood scarezones are announced via the website[7] (Hell's Harvest, Monster Masquerade, Toxxic Tunnel and Trick 'r Treat) as well as the Terror Tram (Terror Tram: Hollywood Harry's Dreadtime Stories).[7] They also announced that Jabbawockeez and The Walking Dead Attraction will be returning this year.
- August 9th: Poltergeist is revealed to be the 5th haunted maze at the event.[8] It was located inside the 747 Area of the Backlot.[9]
- August 14th: The 6th haunted maze is announced as Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. It was located inside of the Waterworld Queue[10].
- August 20th: The 7th haunted maze is announced as The Horrors of Blumhouse: Chapter Two featuring Truth or Dare and Unfriended. Was located in the FDTD Area.
- August 22nd: The 8th and final haunted maze is revealed as Universal Monsters: Music by Slash. Was located in the Parisian Courtyard.
