History & Location[]
On June 26th, 2025, Grave of Flesh was announced as one of the original haunted houses coming to the event. The house would explore a graveyard and what happens after we die.
The house would be located in Soundstage 24B . Soundstage 24 is one of the larger soundstage facilities designed to be used as filming locations for movies and television shows. This would be the first time only one house was located in Soundstage 24 since Evil Dead during Halloween Horror Nights 23.
The Codenames for the haunted houses were flowers and this house was codename Lily, as Lily is a go-to funeral flower.
Description[]
Welcome to your funeral, where it’s about to go from bad to worse. You’ll enter the underworld and be hunted by flesh-eaters for eternity.

Queue and Facade[]
The entrance to this house was located in the backstage hub right outside of Soundstage 24. The queue would loop around to the elephant door of the soundstage, where many switchbacks were located in the 24A side of the soundstage. At the end of the switchbacks, guests would go along a long black curtain and enter the house.
Guests were greeted by the gates of Halmouth Cemetery and a flowery scent.
Haunted Houses[]
Walking around a stone wall, guests would encounter the Halmouth Cemetery Gravedigger. Guests pass by the entrance to a mausoleum, where the screeches of creatures can be heard, and eventually they entered their grave. In their grave, guests would be surrounded by walls of dirt. Looking up, they can see their gravestone 16 feet above as water dripped down on them from above.
The next scene featured a series of caves, where skeletal corpses, coffins, and vines would line the walls. Guests move through tiny, almost unseeable strands of SIF hanging from above, poking them as if bugs were crawling on their skin. A Flesh-Eater would attack on the right. A screen showing a corpse clawing and being covered in dirt from within a hole in the dirt can be seen, and the corpse of a woman jumps out next to that. A rotting corpse jumps out soon after on the right. As guests continue moving deeper, more and more stalagmites and stalactites surround them.
After that guests would encounter a room filled with pods, some of which glowed and moved. There was also a large glowing vine on the ceiling. A corpse covered in grass would attack on the left, and another would also attack on an elevated platform in front of guests. Another Flesh-Eater would attack guests next to a corpse wrapped up in vines.
Finding themselves in a room full of skulls embedded in the walls, guests would be startled as a wall of skulls disappeared to reveal a Flesh-Eater behind it, who would attack guests from the side. The walls would have scratches in them that glowed red, and guests would later be attacked by a corpse in a suit.
Bones were scattered everywhere in the following room, with a rotating bone grinder with flashing lights hanging in an alcove. Guests would pass by various corpses embedded into the walls and would be attacked by an undead corpse on the left and another Flesh-Eater on the right. They would then enter The Processor (which served to transport guests from the natural/physical world to a more unnatural world), which composed of two glowing green columns with hair embedded into them. The next room, entered by walking under a corpse, was pitch black with intestines hanging from the ceiling. A couple of corpses covered in intestines would pop out here, and there would be constant air blasts.
Guests would find themselves in front of a set of stone steps leading up to an open doorway with a green light. Following that, stairs could be found on the ceiling and all over the walls of the room, defying logic and spreading out endlessly. Black goo stained them, some of it dripping upwards, and another Flesh-Eater would attack, holding a heart. Going in between two sets of stairs leading up, guests would see the corpse of a little girl in a hallway to the side, who would then suddenly appear right next to guests.
The next scene is the Suffocation Room, where various corpses can be found tightly bound in sheets. There is a light layer of fog near the ground. The Suffocation Creature can be seen laughing on an elevated platform as wind gusted around it. A Flesh-Eater would attack on the right as guests were distracted. Guests would pass by another wrapped-up corpse in the wall, this one partially melting, before moving onto the finale.
The finale consisted of a series of caves with vines on the walls, representing us re-emerging closer to the surface. The smell of dirt becomes overpowering. Two Flesh-Eaters would attack, one on the left and one on the right, the left one was in front of a mirror. There was also a series of skeletons with glowing dots all over them and plenty of fog. Above guests were multiple skeletons, peering down and preventing escape. A rotting corpse would jump out here and laugh at guests, and before guests exited the house, one final Flesh-Eater would pop out on the left, for there is truly no escape.

Trivia[]
- Kelly Malik was the show director for this haunted house.
- When the house was announced on twitter it was accidentally posted as Graveyard of the Flesh before quickly changed to the actual name of the house.
- According to the creative team, Grave of Flesh: “What happens after you die? You’re being eaten by vicious flesh eaters!” You’re going to be at your grave site, where you’ll see and smell the soil being put on top of you - “you really feel like you’re being buried!”
- The Flesh-Eaters were inspired by star-nosed moles[1]
- The name of Halmouth Cemetery is a play on words on the phrase "hell mouth".
- Lizards would be the recurring easter egg in all of the haunted houses this year. The lizard is located almost immediately after the first turn, and it is under a lantern.
- The creative team wanted the Flesh-Eaters to torture people both physically and psychologically, and so the suffocation room was devised as a dreamy, unnatural plane. It is inspired by a common nightmare, being trapped and suffocating in some kind of fabric.
- The back of the Halmouth Cemetery Gravedigger's shirt said "Carey Memorial Cemetery".
