Zombieland Double Tap was one of the five scarezones that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights 29. It was located in New York.

History and Location[]

On August 12th, 2019, Universal announced that a scarezone based on the 2009 movie, Zombieland, and its then upcoming 2019 sequel, Zombieland: Double Tap, would be coming to their Halloween Horror Nights event that year. The scarezone would feature various props and characters from those two movies.

The scarezone would be located in the large New York area of the park, which is a recreation of the city of New York.

Description[]

It’s time to brush up on those rules of survival. Based on the hit film and its upcoming sequel, this scare zone puts you in the middle of the United States of Zombieland. The infection has spread and bloodthirsty zombies are everywhere. The most important rule to remember: Always double tap.


OBEY THE RULES OF ZOMBIELAND

"Check the Back Seat." "Beware of Bathrooms." "Always Double Tap."

You've got to obey every rule if you don't want to end up a zombie snack. Welcome to the United States of Zombieland. The infection has spread and you're one of the last humans left.

Bloodthirsty zombies are everywhere. Charging at you when you least suspect-unless you're prepared. You may know the first movie, but you gotta make it through the sequel, too.

Can you survive while everyone around you becomes meat?

Scarezone[]

Around the entire scarezone, were rules scattered about detailing the best way to survive a zombie apocalypse. Also, lights were strewn across the rooftops of New York. Near the front of the scarezone, three porta-potties were lined up, with the middle run having a corpse, and the left one sometime having a scareactor. Near the middle of the scarezone, was a drop tower on a stage, with a prize stand across from it. Finally, near the end of the scarezone, was Malik's Bake Shop Truck, and strewn about the scarezone, were cars from the movie.

Sometimes, a mini-show would occur, where one of the four protagonist from the movies would come up to the stage where the drop tower is and kill a Zombie Clown by hitting them in the head with a carnival game hammer. Other scareactors in this scarezone included some of the most famous characters and zombies from the movies, like Bill Murray.

A good majority of the scarezone took place in the Pacific Playland amusement park from the first movie.

  • The limo used in this scare zone appears in the movie, Zombieland 2: Double Tap.
