Hell's Kitchen was one of the four haunted houses that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights IV. It was located in Nazarman's.
History and Location[]
Just like in the previous year, Universal decided to build a Halloween Horror Nights haunted house behind some of the building facades in the New York area of the park. The year before, Universal built structures and alleys behind these facades, specifically to hold Halloween Horror Nights haunted houses. The entrance to this house was located outside of the Nazarman's facade, just like the year before.
This house would be very similar to The Slaughterhouse from the year before, with themes of cannibalism and the butchering of humans.
Description[]
A host of demonic butchers chase you through this bloody flight of terror.
Experience[]
Queue Facade[]
Guests seemed to enter this house from the entrance to Sting Alley, across the street from Kongfrontation. The facade included a window containing a man eating live cockroaches. There was also a sign hanging above the entrance that said "Hell's Kitchen. Butcher Shop & Meat Packing".
Haunted House[]
The haunted house took place in a cannibalistic butcher's shop. The atmosphere was very hot and smelled of rotten meat. Due to how hot the house was, some of the scareactors makeup started to melt off. It was also very dark, and the architecture was somewhat gothic. The entrance of the house contained scareactors harassing the guests, with one scareactor portraying a head chef (a six foot tall hunchback) yelling at them. Other scareactors portrayed victims being butchered alive. All around the house bodies and body parts laid around in heaps or dangled down from the ceiling. The guests would be blasted with water and air hoses. The Roach Man appeared in one of the kitchen scenes behind a glass case (sometimes named Rickie the Roach Boy). There was also a scene in which dead bodies on hooks would reach out at guests. At the end of the house was a scareactor portraying a cook with a chainsaw.
