The Walking Dead: The Living and the Dead was one of the nine haunted houses that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights 25. It was based off of Season 5 of the Walking Dead and was located in the Parade Warehouse.
History and Location[]
On July 30th, 2015, Universal announced that yet another haunted house based on The Walking Dead TV show would be coming to their Halloween Horror Nights event that year. The house would be based on season 5 of the show. The codename for this house was "Dinner", as zombies see humans as dinner.
The house would be located in a building called The Parade Warehouse. The Parade Warehouse was a very large warehouse built to hold the various parade floats used at Universal. After the Superstar Parade was added, Universal had to build a structure to put the excess floats under, as both a haunted house and all of the extra floats from the new parade could not fit in the warehouse.
The Walking Dead would return at Halloween Horror Nights for a final time the following year, with The Walking Dead.
Description[]
From the burnt ashes of Terminus, through the flooded community food pantry basement, and into the darkened churchyard, hordes of walkers surround you as you relive gut-wrenching moments of the most recent season.

Experience[]
Guests enter the house and immediately transported to Terminus where many of the survivors can be seen slaughtering recent victims as guests escape they find themselves entering The McQuarrie Family Services Food Band and Thrift Store where they're attacked by some of the pruning walkers as they are get away they're escaping through woods of Walkers on either side of them on their way to way the St. Sarah's Church. Guests then enter a warehouse igoing through many corridors as walkers attack from either side as they exit out of the house.

- The bunny slippers from the opening scene of The Walking Dead appeared in this house next to the revolving door.
- The gravestone of Mary Shaw from the Halloween Horror Nights: Carnival of Carnage haunted house, Dead Silence: The Curse of Mary Shaw appeared outside of the church.
- This would be the fourth time that Universal collaborated with AMC to create a Walking Dead house.
