Bayou of Blood was one of the four scarezones that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights 24. It was located in Central Park.
History and Location[]
On August 12th, 2014, Universal would announce that an original scarezone based in a Louisiana Bayou would be featured at their Halloween Horror Nights event that year. The scarezone would feature the many voodoo natives of the bayou.
The scarezone would be located in an area called Central Park, a small wooded area connecting World Expo to Hollywood. There are two paths, one going along the Universal Lagoon and the other going through the trees. The scarezone would be located in the second of these two paths. It would receive a sequel house in 2017 titled Dead Waters.

Venture into the Louisiana bayou where practitioners of voodoo are seeking unwilling victims for the night's ritual sacrifice.

Right outside of the scarezone was a large stage that would play a mini show at the beginning of the event.
The show began with the Voodoo Queen beckoning to the audience while she walked through the crowd making her way to the stage. Some of her followers blended into the crowd. Meanwhile, some of her Voodoo henchman have captured a new sacrifice for her blood ritual. They all walk onto the stage as she began her ritual.
One of her henchmen brought the sacrifice to her as she took a drink from her skeletal flask. She began her ritual by throwing an unknown liquid at him stunning him. She marked him with blood and placed a spell on him knocking him into unconsciousness. Her henchman dragged the man onto her table, and she began to chant as two of her henchmen began to bang loudly on bongos on either side of the stage. Finishing her ritualistic words, she stabbed the man and cut him open, ripping his guts out as he writhed in pain. She laughed and walked toward the front of stage expressing succession in the sacrifice before passing out and reawakening with a demonic presence in her tone as she beckoned for her followers to go and follow her bidding to kill. As she left, her henchman dragged the sacrifice away.

- Some of the masks from the Night Prey scarezone in 2003 were reused for this scarezone.
- The mini sacrifice show would be canceled midway. Speculated reasons included guest complaints of it being too controversial and offensive and crowd control.
