The Festival of the Dead Parade was a parade that was featured during Halloween Horror Nights XIV. It went along the Parade Route, which changed that year. The Parade route usually goes from Hollywood, through the Plaza of the Stars, and to New York.
However in 2004, it started in The Boneyard, went up New York, across the Revenge of the Mummy ride, down South Street, down Hollywood, and ended in the Boneyard.
Description[]
Once a year they appear out of nowhere and march slowly through the dark streets, tempting all with baubles, bangles, and beads. A ritualistic procession that is impossible to ignore and all too easy to join, THE FESTIVAL OF THE DEAD PARADE worms its way through the landscape and into the minds of weak souls. Seductive, enticing, and mesmerizing, the floats and marchers move in a rhythm that is horrifyingly hypnotic... and designed to do only one thing - draw you into THE MIDWAY OF THE BIZARRE.

Backstory[]
The Parade was directly tied to the backstory to the Midway of the Bizarre. Whenever the Midway makes its trip to a town, it brings a parade along with it. The parade acts as a temptation to entice visitors to enter the midway. Every time the midway and parade leaves a town, it takes one of its residents with it. The discovery of the secrets behind the Festival of the Dead Parade drove someone insane. This person was most likely not the same person from the Midway of the Bizarre backstory, but a different person entirely. Presumably, this person was sent to Shadybrook. The records of their experience were kept in a box in one of the rooms of the asylum.
In the Patient Records on the Halloween Horror Nights XIV website, visitors could see the contents of the box. They could click on a music box, which would play a little tune as parade floats would spin around on it. After it ends, visitors would be taken back to the main page of the Patient Records as the Point of Evil symbol was etched on the box. There were also beads, coins, a red rag, and a skull scattered around the music box.
In the show, guests would witness the Parade as it makes its way through Orlando, Florida in 2004.
