Clownsaws was the only unofficial scarezone that was featured during Halloween Horror Nights 27. It was located in Springfield U.S.A. The scarezone featured many chainsaw-wielding clowns, most notably Ron the Clown and Brandon the Clown, who were the two unofficial "mascots" of the scarezone.

Description[]

Regardless of how many times they go to the “chainsaw clown” well, it works – and that’s mostly due to the right cast. It seems like the cast is enjoying the part, which translates into some great interactions and opportunities for some good scaring. It’s a bit of a downgrade from a numbers standpoint however. At last year’s event, we had 4 different groups. This year, it’s just the clowns.

Trivia[]

When one of the chainsaws didn't work for one of the scare actors, he would yell "chainsaw noises" instead of revving his chainsaw. Another scareactor also used a rubber chicken to scare guests when his chainsaw wasn't working. This brought a bit of comedy and improv to this unofficial zone.
Some masks of Valek from The Conjuring film series were altered and used for some of the clown masks after the house was scrapped.
