The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Blood Brothers was one of the six haunted mazes that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights 2016 (Hollywood). It was located in the Waterworld Queue.

Description

It's been 5 years since a group of unlucky teenagers had a fatal encounter with a chainsaw-wielding psychopath named Leatherface and his cannibal clan at an isolated farmhouse in South Texas. Despite the best efforts of law enforcement, the farmhouse was never found, the murder weapon was never recovered and the demented killers were never brought to justice. Emboldened by their ability to literally get away with murder, The Sawyer Family has decided the time is right to expand the family business! Now that ChopTop, Leatherface's mentally unhinged brother, has returned from war, the Sawyers are ready to take the slaughter to an entirely new level and bring their cannibal cuisine to the masses!

Experience

Facade

The Facade was the Sawyer Gas Station that has been converted into a BBQ Restaurant. "Deep in the Heart of Texas" would play as Guests would then enter the Maze.

Haunted Maze

Guests would enter the Gas Station and enter the Lunch Counter where guests could see Drayton Sawyer telling people they're closed and they need to get out. Behind Drayton was a Photo of Nubbins Sawyer and huge banner saying "Welcome Home Choptop" which was for welcoming Choptop home from the Vietnam War. Guests would then be attacked by Leatherface with his Chainsaw before entering the Meat Prep area.

Guests would enter a Hallway and see a Man skinless hanging a Man Hook with red smoke and enter the Storage Room where there is a Victim tied up and Leatherface digs his Chainsaw to split a Victim in half. Guests then enter the Meat Locker.

Inside the Meat Locker was a bunch of hanging Pigs that guests would have to pass along with the sounds of a Polaroid Camera as they finally encounter Chop Top who attacks them from behind a Vent with a Knife. Guests would enter another part of the Meat Locker with now hanging skinless bodies as Leatherface would pop out at guests as they exit the Gas Station.

Guests would then enter the Graveyard where they could see the badly mutilated body of Franklin Hardesty as Chop Top would pop out right next to him with a knife. Guests would pass through the Graveyard as Leatherface pops out at guests with his chainsaw. Guests would then enter a Facade of the Sawyer Family Crypt.

Inside the Crypt was a series of Caverns with string lights hanging where there is a bunch of coffins. Chop Top pops out at guests from behind a Coffin and Leatherface then attacks guests from a raised platform.

Guests would enter Chop Top's Room where there is a Bunch of UV Posters flashing as "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" plays. In the center of the Room was the corpse of Nubbins Sawyer and Chop Top would enter the room attacking guests with a knife.

Guests would enter a short hallway transition and enter Leatherface's room where there is a bunch of Dolls with skin on them and Dolls made of bones. Leatherface would attempt to put a Skin Mask on guests as "Are my Ears on Straight?"

Guests then enter the Foyer of the House and enter through the Steel Door and Leatherface would pop out with a Hammer at guests. Guests would pass a Red Hallway with Animal Skulls and then enter the Kitchen.

Guests would enter the Kitchen as it is filthy and see a Helpless Victim struggling to get out of a Meathook as Leatherface would then pop out at guests with his Chainsaw.

Guests would then enter the Dinning Room where Chop Top could be seen encouraging Grandpa Sawyer as he attempts to wack a Helpless Victim Mannequin and Leatherface would then go through a Door to pop out at guests with his Chainsaw.

Guests would finally enter the Sitting Room where there was a bunch of Living Skeleton Corpses and only 4 of them were real and would pop out at guests. Guests would then enter a Normal House Hallway and Leatherface would pop out one last time at guests with his Chainsaw as guests then entered a Black Hallway and then exited the Maze.

• The codename for this maze was "Newt".
• This was the 4th time the event featured this franchise as a haunted maze, so they took a different twist. They created an original maze that bridges the original 1974 film with its 1986 sequel. .
• The Elements that were included from the 2nd Film were
  • Chop Top Sawyer
  • Choptop teasing Franklin in the Graveyard.
  • The Tunnels.
  • Nubbins Corpse in ChopTop’s Room.
  • Leatherface trying to attach a Skin Face to guests in his room much like he did to Stretch.
  • "Officially the Texas Chainsaw Massacre never happened." was a line from the Narration of TCM2.
• Since TCM: Blood Brothers was conceived as an original chapter of the franchise between the 1st & 2nd film, Murdy did a fair amount of visual research to help create environments that didn’t exist in the films. .
• The gas station from the 1st film was converted into a full fledged BBQ restaurant in the maze (albeit using human meat), though some of the signature elements from that film remain. .
• One of the main reasons Murdy wanted to set the story between the 1st film & the 86 sequel is because he wanted Choptop to be part of the maze. In one scene, Murdy and co. had to establish the time period & the idea that Choptop had just returned home from Vietnam. .
• In the Opening Scene were On the left is a portrait of Gerald Ford (president between 74-77). On the right is a shrine to Leatherface’s brother “The Hitchhiker” & a bunch of POW MIA bumper stickers which were everywhere in the mid to late 70's. .
• The Chief Jesus Maldonado who investigates Leatherface and his family in the 1974 Film is included in the Opening Scene as Portrait that is childishly desecrated. .
• The Idea of the Tunnels going from the Graveyard into the Sawyer House came from the Idea that the Sawyer Family are Grave Robbers. .
• The Wallpaper in Leatherface's is inspired by the fact that he is a man-child, so his room was to have wallpaper that a boy in the 1950’s might have. .
• Leatherface also had a Collection of Dolls and Toys in his Room that had Skin Masks. .
• John Murdy voiced Chop Top Sawyer for the Maze. .
