Duality of Fear was one of the five scarezones that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights 33. It was located in the Front Lot.
History & Location[]
On July 24th, 2024, Universal announced that they would be featuring a scarezone during Halloween Horror Nights 33 which would be themed around the event's icons: SINIST3R & SURR3AL.
The zone would be located in the Front Lot, an area not used for a scarezone since 2008's Dark Reflections and used recently the previous year for 2023's Dr. Oddfellow's Collection of Horror (Scarezone). This area of the park is right in front of the main gate, extending past the Hello Kitty now the Universal Fashion store towards Hollywood. The reason this scarezone was not featured in the Plaza of the Stars like in previous years is rumored to be because of the re-theming of the area to Minion Land.
The codename for this zone was jawbreaker.

As soon as you enter Halloween Horror Nights you must choose a path: the visceral horror of SINIST3R or the unearthly terror of SURR3AL.
