Delmar Reeves was the main character in the Bad Following Good story based on the Leave it to Cleaver haunted house during Halloween Horror Nights: Ripped from the Silver Screen.
Backstory[]
Delmar Reeves had never been a lucky man. In fact, most of his life had been a tale of woe and misery. At least that’s how he saw things: bad following good. He would find extra money only to then need to visit the dentist due to a toothache. Bad following good. His whole life. So it was no real surprise to him in 1934 that the very day after having been given the job of shift foreman, the Bailey Mining Company shut its doors forever leaving Delmar little choice but to abandon his home and look elsewhere for work.
Delmar would go onto jumping onto an empty cattle train and heading back o the midwest for food and water and a better life starving for three days and what's little left of water in his canteen, he would find himself going in and out of consciousness till he was fully rested.
He had awaken to the train making a stop in the small town of Carey, Ohio. A yardman would catch Delmar in the train car and he would be pulled out. Delmar would then be taken into jail by the sheriff of the town. Delmar would awaken the next day in a jail cell even though he didn't like being in the cell it was a better setting then he had already been in before it.
He would make friends with the Sheriff who would give Delmar good food and drinks to keep him full and nourished in return Delmar would try to be good company to Sheriff. Delmar had spent fourteen days in the cell until the Sheriff had let Delmar know that he was going to meet someone that would help get a job and start his life anew, that man would be Sam Meetz, the owner and operator of Meetz Meats, he would take in Delmar Reeves whose luck was never good and never to be seen again.
