Conjure the Dark was one of the five scarezones featured during Halloween Horror Nights 31. It was located in San Francisco and featured a Sorceress summoning a horde of evil creatures.

History and Location[]

On August 16th, 2022, Universal announced that a scarezone themed around a Sorceress summoning evil creatures from portals would be featured at their Halloween Horror Nights event that year. The evil witches aspect of this zone tied into the events overall theme that year of Traditional Halloween.

The scarezone would be the seventh located in the San Francisco area of the park, an area located near the middle of the park themed after the city of San Francisco.

Description[]

On the first All Hallow's Eve, an evil sorceress called forth monstrosities from dark dimensions. Now your blood will fuel them.

An evil sorceress has entered twisted stone ruins and called forth monstrosities from dark dimensions. This Halloween, blood will feed her army of the night.

Story[]

Taking place during the first Halloween, a Sorceress is gathering power from Celtic runes and pulling beings from other planets from portals in order to create the holiday. She would summon creatures from three different portals: Alphas, Betas, and Trolls. Fire was also involved in the process.

Scarezone[]

In the center of the scarezone was a giant stage with various runes on it. The Sorceress would dance on the stage which featured three doors where various scareactors would walk out of. There was also a large basin on the stage that the Sorceress would interact with. Every few minutes, a mini show would start in which the Sorceress completed one aspect of the ritual. Each show would end with fire spewing from the top of the stage.

Various monsters would roam around the streets, which were full of various caves, hiding places, runic stones, and other props. here were three types of monsters: The muscular demon-like Alphas, the alien-looking Betas, and goblin-esque trolls. These would hide in every nook and cranny and scare guests going by.

A female sacrifice would run around screaming at guests to help. During one of the mini-shows, the Sorceress would command a demon to grab her and sacrifice her on stage, as the blood of the virgin was needed to complete the ritual.
