Clive Barker's Hell was one of the five haunted mazes that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights 1999 (Hollywood).

Description[]

Dare to enter the putrid put of infernal damnation from the Wizard of Wickedness.

Clive Barker, best-selling horror author and creator of the "Hellraiser" and "Candyman" films, spawns his twisted terror upon an unsuspecting crowd. He douses guests in the heat of Hades, engulfing them in the fiery flames of... his HELL!

Experience[]

According to this: An initial room featured what supposedly could have been Cenobite (Pinhead) who would give an intro monologue before guests walked through the rest of the maze. The "Cenobite" was basically a normal human-sized torso on top of a huge fabricated skirt with a visible headset mic, which allowed for some cool pitch-shifting effects but looked a bit cheesy. There was also a a 10-foot moving "flayed Satan" head that was in the maze.

Trivia[]

  • Clive Barker came up with the idea for this maze the previous year from a nightmare he had and wanted to turn it into a maze. He had written a one-page treatment and brought it to the team in January and developed the idea of different ideas based on his nightmare for the maze.
