Cirque du Freak was one of the six scarezones that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights: Ripped from the Silver Screen. It was located inWoody Woodpecker's Kidzone. The scarezone was based on the film of the same name.
History and Location[]
In 2009, Universal decided to have a scarezone based on their 2009 movie, Cirque du Freak. The scarezone would feature many of the freaks that appeared in the movie, as well as the return of The Rat Lady.
The scarezone would be located in an area called the Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone, an area dedicated to entertaining young children. It is located in between Central Park and Springfield (then the International Food Bazaar).
Description[]
Inspired by Universal Pictures’ upcoming film “Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant,” which tells the fantasy-adventure tale of a boy who unknowingly breaks a 200-year-old truce between two warring factions of vampires. Pulled into a fantastic life of misunderstood sideshow freaks and grotesque creatures of the night, one teen will vanish from the safety of a boring existence and fulfill his destiny in a place drawn from nightmares.
Story[]
Darren Shan was a normal 15-year old until he visited the Cirque du Freak, a freak show with characters such as, Mr. Crepsley, Evra, Corma Limbs, and Rhamus Twobellies.
