Bzzzcon (BuzzCon) is a company that were involved in many different strange and bizarre cases of freak accidents, typically caused by the chemicals used in their products. They were featured in many different Halloween Horror Nights Orlando haunted houses and scarezones, whether it be their Bzzzcon Extermin-Air sprays/conditioners, or their vats of toxic waste barrels that they'd discard and pollute the environments they're around.
1920s[]
In a New York neighborhood during the 1920's, Bzzzcon had begun a recall of their newly released “Rat-Tap-Tap” rat poison, which used a new confidential formula to potentially be more effective. Instead, it was reported that the poison had a less lethal effect, and instead caused mutations in the pests. Unfortunately, the truck being used to retrieve the radioactive cargo was crashed into by a mobsters' getaway car following a bank heist, sending the city into toxic pandemonium. Many people would be mutated into horrifying shambling creatures, while affected plants and animals would begin attacking anyone who came near them, and buildings coated in the sludge began to dissolve in mere moments.
1950s[]
The company would go through a name change possibly to cover their previous incident and thus calling the company Bzzzcon and with a new little icon to represent the company, B-Cide. They would go on to have their own world's fair attraction called Bzzzcon, a pavilion developing a new gas that will control the temperatures of homes and kill bugs with a pine scent. The gas would make the bugs grow larger in the hopes of also making them age faster, thus killing them.
Guests would go by showcases of the product as a system malfunction accidentally causes all the bugs in the area to escape, mutate, and grow large. Guests would travel through the area, encountering bugs such as flies, roaches, maggots, wasps, and spiders. Some of these bugs would begin laying eggs and making hives inside of unsuspecting victims, while one particular spider, nicknamed “Susan” by her handlers, would grow and evolve into a massive hulking monstrosity, acting as defacto Queen to the mutated insects. Many of the scientists and tourists never made it out of alive, while those that did would have to be executed by the military in hopes of keeping everything to a hushing halt.
Despite this incident, and its history of disaster, Buzzcon would seemingly continue to remain in business, selling diluted versions of their Extermin-Air spray to families such as the Barmys.
Night of the Undead Clowns[]
A fictional B-Movie made on the company and one of its freak accidents, called Night of the Undead Clowns, would focus on “Bzzzcon, maker of fine pesticides and chemicals, having too much waste and nowhere to put it. It’s too hard to find a good landfill these days, but they find a way. A nice, hefty hunk of dirt to dump their noxious fluids, deep underground so no-one is bothered. Of course, though, nowhere is truly secluded, and actions will always have consequences. They found out too late that they were tunneling directly into a clown graveyard, filled with the ancient corpses of long-dead jokers and bufoons! The dead don’t appreciate being awakened, and these kooky corpses won’t hesitate to slaughter you! The sun sets on humanity, as many had to fight through the Night of the Undead Clowns.”
Blood & Chum[]
Another fictional B-Movie based on another incident involving the company dumping more of their toxic waste, this time in a lake.
“Who doesn’t love summer camp? The sun, the nature, the fresh air and fun. Bonds and memories are made here, and it’s hardly a place you’d expect to be slaughtered. Something in the lake has changed. Everyone going in to feel the cold, refreshing water would instead feel something different: skin tearing, bones cracking, and the warmth of their own blood. It’s big, it’s fishy, and it’s eating everyone in sight, after ingesting the many toxins of the Bzzzcons' toxic waste and mutating and growing every minute, with this beast, there is no difference between Blood and Chum.”
