Blood Masquerade was one of the three official scarezones that were featured during Halloween Horror Nights: Sweet 16. It was located in Shrek Alley.
History and Location[]
For their 2006 event, Universal would decide to have all of their and scarezones (and haunted houses) be sequels or prequels to landmark houses and scarezones in the past. One of these would be Blood Masquerade, a sequel to the popular Castle Vampyr haunted house from 2004.
The scarezone would be located in an area called Shrek Alley, an area of Universal Studios Orlando sandwiched in between the Shrek 4D show and Soundstage 44 (now Transformers: The Ride 3-D).
The house would receive a sequel house the following year called Vampyr: Blood Bath.
Description[]
Vampires, beasts and demonic freaks prowl the streets in search of prey.
Sensuous vampires beckon you in to their terrifying blood feast. This celebration gathers the faithful to renew their vows to a darker power. You will become their prey, from which they will vanquish their thirst for blood and immortality.
Scarezone[]
The scarezone would feature many gothic props all along Shrek Alley, with a large altar at the end of it. The alter featured two hanging corpses, many wax candles, and a banner with the logo of the scarezone on it. Various vampires would roam the streets, with some on bungee cords that would fly at guests.
