You don't know Jack. Universal Orlando's newest press release touting Halloween Horror Nights gets an "A" for more than effort.
It's purportedly a letter from "Jack," last year's Halloween Horror mascot.
None of the traditional contact information. None of the fluffy quotes from executives.
Instead, there is just a creepy letter from a disgruntled ghoul wanting to know why he has been toppled by a new face in Universal promotional literature.
Overthrow the new terror in town, urges Jack, who proceeds to cast aspersions at Universal's publicity department, winding up with this zinger: "The idiot flacks (publicists) at Universal know how to reach me."
But such a crafty letter -- read and reread by nearly everyone in the news department -- probably proves Universal's PR department is just the opposite.
